Trade-In & Upgrade Program
Your system can grow with you. Our trade-in program makes it easier to take the next step, without having to sell your existing equipment yourself.
Speaker & stand package upgrade credit
Trade in eligible speakers purchased new from Speaker & Song within three years of the original invoice date and receive credit equal to 50% of the original price you paid, toward an eligible new speaker purchase.
Matching stands purchased from us as part of the original speaker package are included when both the speakers and stands are traded in together.
Existing customers are included. Eligibility is measured from the original invoice date, not the program’s launch date. The qualifying upgrade must be completed within the three-year period; requesting an estimate does not extend that deadline.
How it works
- Credit is based on the actual amount paid after discounts, excluding taxes, shipping, installation and other services.
- Your new speakers, including matching stands if purchased, must cost at least as much as the original eligible speakers or speaker-and-stand package, before tax and before applying trade-in credit.
- The program is available to the original purchaser with proof of purchase from Speaker & Song.
- Equipment must be fully working, unmodified and in excellent cosmetic condition, with original packaging, grilles and supplied accessories.
- All trade-ins require inspection before credit is confirmed.
- Upgrade purchases are at our current regular selling price. Additional discounts and promotions cannot be combined unless agreed in writing.
Example: If you paid $2,699 before tax for eligible speakers and matching stands, you could receive $1,349.50 in trade-up credit toward a qualifying new speaker purchase.
Amplifiers, streamers, DACs & other equipment
We also consider amplifiers, streamers, DACs and other hi-fi equipment for trade-in toward an eligible purchase at Speaker & Song.
These items are assessed individually rather than receiving a guaranteed percentage of their original purchase price. We consider condition, age, functionality, current resale value, demand and, where applicable, ongoing software support.
Equipment purchased elsewhere, older speakers, and pre-owned or demonstration equipment may also be considered on this basis.
General terms
- Trade-in credit applies to the agreed purchase and is not redeemable for cash.
- Contact us before bringing or shipping equipment to the shop. Customers are responsible for delivery costs unless otherwise agreed.
- We will provide a written quote identifying the equipment, credit and qualifying purchase. Preliminary estimates are subject to inspection.
- Applicable taxes and delivery charges will be shown separately in your quote.
- Any exceptions must be agreed in writing before the transaction.
