The EAR Yoshino 899 delivers 70 watts per channel from a Class A parallel push-pull valve output stage using eight KT90 valves. It offers more output than the 50-watt 8L6 while retaining EAR’s analogue, valve-based approach.

Alongside its RCA line inputs, the 899 has separate RCA and balanced XLR power-amplifier inputs and an RCA preamplifier output, providing flexibility when building a system around separate components.

The Canadian configuration is supplied with a silver front panel and matching silver controls.
