The Leben RS-28CX is a vacuum-tube line preamplifier with an integrated moving-magnet phono stage. Its phono circuit uses a CR-type, non-feedback RIAA equalizer built around selected GE 12AT7 tubes, while the line stage uses GE 6CG7 dual triodes in an SRPP circuit.

The sensitive audio circuitry and power supply are housed in separate chassis. Fixed and variable outputs support conventional power-amplifier connection as well as an additional output path for applications such as a subwoofer.

Handmade in Japan: Leben products are handmade in Japan by experienced craftspeople using carefully selected components and point-to-point wiring.
