The NAD C 588 is a belt-drive turntable with a regulated motor supply and manual 33⅓/45 rpm speed selection. Its 9-inch carbon-fibre tonearm provides adjustable vertical tracking angle, while a precision aluminium sub-platter, hardened-steel bearing and glass platter form the rotating assembly.

An Ortofon 2M Red moving-magnet cartridge is installed at the factory. The solid MDF plinth, tuned isolation feet, felt mat, low-resonance dust cover and detachable RCA cable are intended to control vibration and make accurate setup repeatable.
