The NAD CS1 is a compact network music streamer designed to add app-based playback to an existing integrated amplifier, receiver, DAC or pair of powered speakers. It supports audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz and uses a Texas Instruments PCM5142 DAC for its analogue RCA output.

Music is selected through compatible services and protocols rather than a dedicated NAD playback app, including Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, DLNA and Roon. Coaxial and optical digital outputs allow an external DAC to perform conversion, while dual-band Wi-Fi and Ethernet provide network access. Bluetooth and a 12-volt trigger output add further system flexibility.
