The Nagaoka MP-100 is an entry-level cartridge in the moving-permalloy range, pairing an aluminium-alloy cantilever with a 0.6 mil bonded conical diamond stylus.

With 5.0 mV output, it is intended for a moving-magnet phono input—not a low-output moving-coil setting. Nagaoka specifies a 1.8–2.3 g tracking force and 47 kΩ loading. The JN-P100 stylus assembly is replaceable, so the cartridge body can remain in service when the stylus needs renewing.
