The Nagaoka MP-MONO is a dedicated mono moving-permalloy cartridge for mono records. Its standard JN-PMONO 0.7E assembly uses an aluminium-alloy cantilever and bonded elliptical diamond tip sized for modern mono microgroove recordings.

A 4.0 mV output allows use with a moving-magnet phono input at the specified 47 kΩ / 100 pF load. Nagaoka also offers a separately sold 1.0E replacement stylus for suitable older mono microgroove records; choose the tip for the record’s groove format rather than assuming all mono records use the same size.
