The Rega Apheta 3 is a low-output moving-coil cartridge with a fine-line nude-diamond stylus mounted at 90 degrees on an aluminium cantilever. Its hand-wound coil and iron micro-cross assembly work with a high-powered neodymium magnet in a one-piece, CNC-machined aluminium body.

The undamped generator omits a conventional tie wire and foam damper. Nominal output is 350 μV, the specified input load is 100 Ω and the recommended tracking force is 1.9–2.0 g. Rega’s three-point fixing is intended for direct alignment on compatible tonearms.
