The Rega Planar 6 RS Edition develops the Planar 6 platform with components drawn from the next model in the range. Its Tancast 8 foam-core plinth is finished in a brushed-metal aluminium skin, while the RB880 tonearm, machined aluminium sub-platter and dual-layer Optiwhite glass platter provide the mechanical foundation.

A hand-tuned 24-volt motor is matched to the supplied Neo MK2 power supply and drives the platter through a CNC twin pulley and two Reference EBLT belts. This configuration is supplied in Brushed Metal with a factory-fitted Nd9 moving-magnet cartridge. A moving-magnet phono input or separate MM phono stage is required.
