The Wharfedale SW-12 steps up to a 300 mm long-throw driver and 300 W built-in amplifier. Compared with the SW-10, it offers a larger driver and a lower specified frequency-response limit; peak amplifier output is 450 W.

The adjustable 30 - 150Hz crossover, phase inversion and automatic on/off controls help integrate it with the main speakers. Stereo line-level RCA and mono LFE inputs support music and home-cinema connections. It is supplied as a single subwoofer. The listed finish is Black.
